Virginia Italia Harper is a New York-based designer working at the intersection of interiors, product design, and experiential environments.
After earning her Master’s in Industrial Design from Domus Academy in Milan, she began her career in Italy with Cassina and Illy before returning to New York, where she worked with Peter Marino and Rockwell Group. She later led store design for Guerlain US under LVMH, shaping luxury retail environments for the American market.
Most recently, Virginia served as Head of Store Design for Estée Lauder, where she developed global retail concepts and immersive brand experiences.
In parallel, she leads Virginia Harper Design, collaborating with brands such as Poltrona Frau, Giorgetti, Draenert, and De Sede, where she debuted her furniture collection at Salone del Mobile. Her work has also been exhibited at Salon Art + Design, where she presented immersive installations exploring material, craft, and spatial narrative.
Her work spans furniture, interiors, and brand environments, with a focus on material exploration and narrative-driven design. Her practice is defined by a balance between precision and emotion, reinterpreting classic materials into contemporary, enduring forms.
