New York­‑based designer Virginia Italia Harper received her Master’s in Industrial Design at Domus Academy in Milan, where she remained for several years doing interiors, exhibition and product design for Cassina and Illy among others.

Upon her return to the US in 2006, she worked for the internationally renowned architecture firms Peter Marino and Rockwell Group before establishing her own design consultancy. With expertise in hospitality and retail design she soon became Director of Store Design and Visual Merchandising at Estee Lauder and then for LVMH at Guerlain US.

In April of 2019, she reignited Virginia Harper Design full-time to coincide with the launch of her furniture pieces for De Sede at Salone del Mobile in Milan. Her other works have been produced by Poltrona Frau, Draenert and Giorgetti in addition to designing and producing a collection for DDC.

She pursues interiors projects and continues to work with beauty clients to develop innovative retail strategies and environments. As a design expert in the world of Beauty, she served as Creative Director of the luxury skincare brand Eve Lom.

Her passion lies in exploring classic materials in fresh yet timeless forms.
